Hi, we are Nick and Debbie Priestley, we founded The West Country Cheese Co in 2007.  We are two individuals with a passion for great food and, in particular, cheese. We live on the rugged North Devon/Cornwall borders, 10 miles from the coast, in a converted Chapel with our two cats

2007 - 2010 - We ran our small cheese shop alongside a market stall three days a week in two towns

2011 - We expanded the shop into empty premises next door and created a cheese cornucopia 

2012 -  We installed a commercial kitchen and started cooking!    We  launched our on-line shop with the mission to offer great West Country Cheese to a wider audience.   We decided to offer a small collection of beautiful wedding cheese cakes on-line which proved extremely popular

2013 - Taste of the West Gold Awards 2013

In recognition of all our hard work, we were delighted to have won four prestigious Taste of the West awards (the only time we entered!). We were particularly proud to have been given a GOLD in the category of Best Speciality Retailer/Deli. The esteemed Taste of the West awards highlight excellence throughout the South West’s food and drink industry, recognising not only the finest food and drink products, but also retailers, such as ourselves, dedicated to sourcing quality regional produce and providing customer service of the highest standard

2014 - 2016 -  After a glimpse of the demand for cheese cakes, it became apparent we needed to sell our delightful shop.  We successfully handed this over at the end of 2014.  We continued to run our market stall two days a week in South Molton until the end of 2016.  We enjoyed the time and worked hard to create a larger range of Wedding Cheese Cakes and Cheese cakes for all occasions. Our bespoke service was also born to enable our customers to create something truly individual

2017 - This was the year that saw the launch of our most unique range, our Pork Pie & Wedding Cheese Cakes, a beautiful mix of delicious cheese and tasty award winning pies.  A match made in heaven!

To date - We continue to expand our range and create delicious cheese wedding cakes, cheese celebration cakes and cheese and pork pie structures for customers across the UK

We pride ourselves on offering a fabulous selection of cheesecakes to suit a vast array of events available to purchase at any time of the day for any time of the year. Our bespoke cheese cake service enables our customers to create a truly unique cake which we love to offer which is a truly personal, friendly and helpful service.  And, we strive to offer impeccable customer service at no additional cost!  All these qualities are what sets us apart from the rest

When we are not brainstorming ideas, talking cheese, packing boxes or furiously typing bespoke quotes, you’ll find us reading, cooking some good food…. Indian curries are our latest obsession, listening to some very good music with a good glass of something. Also, the occasional travel when we can escape
