Cherubic Cheese CakeOur Cherubic Cheese Cake has approx 3.5kg of cheese, enough for 40-45 persons

The base layer is approx 6″ diameter

Base tier: Fine English Vintage Cheddar, 1kg – The recipe for this Fine Cheese Cheddar uses pasteurised cows’s milk collected from Dorset Farms.  This is a hand-made mature full-flavoured vegetarian cheddar.  The outer cheese ins covered in a burgandy wax which hides the soft cheddar under the wax. It takes at least 4 to ten weeks to mature. This cheddar is very similar to the delicious organic Godminster Cheddar with it’s deliciously soft texture, both creamy and a full tangy flavour

2nd tier: Colston Bassett Stilton, 1kg – One of Britans best known cheeses is Stilton, Colston Bassett is one of the best in the country. Mellow and deliciously creamy with lovely rich deep savoury flavours.  A delicate spicy tang from the blue veins comes through with a rounded and superb lingering finish.

3rd tier: Baby Cornish Yarg  1kg  – This unique cheese is wrapped in nettle leaves which are picked wild from the surrounding area. A semi-hard cheese, slightly creamy and crumbly, texture is a bit between a cheddar and caerphilly. The flavour is fresh & lemony when the cheese is young becoming more aromatic with age and the edible nettles impart a delicate, slightly mushroomy flavour as the cheese matures.  This is their 1kg baby version

4th tier: Camembert, 200g – We’ve used the delicate creamy soft Somerset Camembert  A delicious creamy camembert

5th tier: 5th tier: Brilliat Savarin 100g –This cheese takes its name from the famous 18th century French food writer Brillat Savarin, and was originally created in the 1950s by Parisian affineur, Pierre Androuet. Brillat is a deliciously creamy triple crème cheese from Normandy, made with pasteurised cows milk, it is fresh with mushroom notes that balances the richness. It has a slight chalky centre when young, breaking down from the centre as it matures.

Top tier: Capricorn 100g – This little goats cheese has won a staggering amount of awards over the years.  It is a delicious, velvety soft goats cheese.  Mild and crumbly when young developing into a softer, creamier fuller flavour as it matures

INCLUDES:  Small amount of light ivory raffia

Why not purchase our 1.6kg Pork Pie – 7″ diameter for an addition to this lovely cheese cake.  This pork pie will serve approx 16 persos.

The Pork Pies are handmade especially for us, so please allow 7-10 days for this product. Additional pork pies can also be purchased separately 

You can now order on-line, please do choose a delivery date at least two days before your wedding/party date

We like you to order well in advance, a minimum of two weeks notice is usual, so we are ready here at West Country Cheese to make sure each of the cheeses arrive with you in perfect condition ready for the big event.  However, we’ll do all we can to accommodate short notice requests without compromising quality
