ABOUT USOwned by me, Debbie Priestley, a love of great food and cooking, a passion for local produce, independent shops, and a desire to be my own boss was the perfect combination for me to take over 'The Cheese Shop' in 2007.
From the start we wanted to champion fine British cheese and support our local producers and our shop is now a treasure trove of fine cheese. We stock over a hundred cheeses from unpasteurised traditionally made West Country favourites such as Montgomery, Quickes & Keens Cheddar to some fine artisan delights such as our local Devon Oke, Sharpham and Vulscombe cheeses.
We want our customers to have a personal shopping experience, so whether you are popping into the shop for a single piece of your favorite or you want enough cheese to feed a wedding party, our friendly staff will be on hand to help and advise and no doubt, insist you try before you buy. Beats supermarket pre-packed shopping any day!
And if you aren't able to make it to the shop you can now order online for delivery straight to your door.

Butchers Row is located in the centre of Barnstaple, just off the high street and opposite the Pannier Market. The Barnstaple Bus and Train station are all within short walking distance as are the town centre car parks
